Wheel Spacers

There is a lot of talk on Audi pages about wheel spacers to push your wheels out to better fill your wheel arch and allegedly improve handling. I'm not talking Carlos Fandango sizes I'm talking 3-5mm perwheel. Any one got any experience??

I had to have them on my 123 when i tried to fit sl wheels on.
You'll need extra long bolts and if you go too far may interfere with your arches.
TBH i cant see a massive improvement on handling, but depends on your current setup.

Also, heard of someones insurance being invalidated after an accident when they found spacers..
