Right,

MB Bath managed to see off my seatbelt feeder somehow and it is physically snapped and no longer extends and retracts.

'Twas a job I knew was coming but someone there hastened the gizmo's demise.

Now, I can get the part... no problem, but I want to know if there is a web site somewhere that I can use to get a step by step process like the dealer would use to carry out the replacement task.

If I have to pay a reasonable fee, then money can be forthcoming :-)

Cheers

Gary

If MB bath broke it , MB Bath can fix it surely ?

Well, to be honest,

It was half rogered.

They just saw it off a bit earlier than anticipated.

Going to ask for a consideration though.

But.... if there is no leeway - they never see the car again and I find someone else to do the job, (body repairer) or have a go myself.

what car is it for?

there is a how-to with pics for a 124 seatbelt arm replacement somewhere on one of the merc online forums (dont think it was this one) but i cant remember where - a good search should find it though as i saw it the other day. might of been MOC.

My car is a W209, the last owner was a bit heavy handed with the belt feeder...

The part looks straight forward to attach, its all the nonsense with removing panels that might put me off - I am rather fussy that everything fits right and makes no stupid noises.
