Back in Mill Hill but sometimes in Skiathos
Car
Gixxer 6, Citroen Berlingo, 911 C4S, Dacia Duster and lots of bicycles.
The garage queens come out.

In Mill Hill Broadway today jostling for space outside the coffee shops we’ve seen:

2no Maclarens
4 or 5 Ferrari’s
A couple of Massers
1 lovely BMW 3.0 CSA
1no Jag xjs cabrio
1no Triumph Stag
Untold Bentleys
Untold Porsche’s

And?

My Porsche!! Because I’ve finally taken it out for a spin after sitting in the garage since November. I brought it back from my sisters in Warlingham yesterday and my word it’s f*****g fast!!

Took the BM out today with the roof down. I do love driving that car.

80 miles in the clk with Mrs Ted with the roof down, followed by around 35 miles on the bike.
Mrs Ted had the dinner ready when I got back, so we had it al fresco in the back yard and I washed it down with a bottle of cider and a bottle of porter, then had a snooze.
Great way to spend a bank holiday.

Oh No! What's happening there mate..

There's an intermittent power loss on the cluster while driving - everything momentarily goes off and the dials drop to zero, then it all comes back on again. It wipes the trip mileage and all the miles/avg mph/avg mpg data though, which is a pain. I'm pretty sure it'll just be a cracked solder joint somewhere on the PCB (probably where the loom connector is), but sending it away for repair will put the van off the road for a week or so. I've done similar repairs myself in the past but I think a cluster is ££££ to replace so not sure I want to risk a DIY job here.

Not if your nearest neighbour is more than 200yds away!

There was a holiday cottage in N. Yorkshire I used to recommend to my coworkers in London village. Most of them complained they couldn't sleep due to lack of noise.

If I remember correctly the general area was one of two of the quietest places in the UK on record.

One chap nearly had a heart attack when he flung open the patio door curtains only to be faced with a huge cow staring directly at him. Evil beasts they are :D

Friends who have moved out to the countryside have said exactly the opposite - woken at ungodly hours by livestock, wildlife or farm machinery!

We bought our house because when viewing it a lamb ambled up to the living room window..."we'll take it"...
