Guys,

I intend to sand my 202 with 2000 & 3000 w&d. What I would like to know is it better to clay bar prior to sanding or sand first, then clay?

Cheers in advance.

If your going to wet sand it i cant see the point of claying?

Tony.

That's what I was thinking too, Jotter. But, I was wondering might it be worth the effort after sanding?

Claying removes bonded-on contaminants from the paint surface.

Wet & drying your car will strip everything off so there really is no point claying.

Cheers Rashman, that's good to hear - less work! :D

O.k. Jotter, I will make the effort but due to usual 202 rust spots it still won't be pretty.

Once the paint has been wetsanded & corrected- the normal clay usage on a normal driven car is around once every 6 months stage.

If low miles driven & garage parked then this can be extended upwards of a year.

No real time definition as every car is driven/parked/stored in a different location , the above is just a guide
