Where can I find Part Numbers?

I've just spent hours trying to find the part number for a Drivers door airbag for a 2002 A Class.

The dealer wouldn't give out part numbers so I wondered if anyone out there knows a good site to locate Mercedes Part Numbers?

Most breakers etc ask you for the part number so they double check they've got the correct part.

Best place is the Daimler parts EPC net website.

You will need to register and pay 17 euros but that gives you a years access.

EPC reads as A1688600105, driver door inner part, left and A1688600205 on driver door inner part, right. I interpret the driver door meaning front doors (there is no LHD/RHD designation on the part numbers).

I would check the part number against the VIN anyway, these are for a 168.031 car.

Surely you shouldnt just replace an airbag? why wouldnt the dealer give you the code?
