A decent sports backbox for my 1999 C230 Kompressor?

I have a de-cat section but the only back boxes I have found are universal boy-racer crap that sound more like a toilet incident than a sporty roar.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

I'm currently looking for the same thing for my car.

The C36 backbox is the way to go if you can find one. Genuine AMG part so will sound good, look good and last well.

I have seen lots of remus backboxes that look similar though, can anyone comment on the quality/sound etc. of these as a comparison?

Back box has gone on mine. It's currently in the boot, and car sounds fairly loud!

£380 from MBZ, £440 from Kwik fit, but then I thought what if the other 2 sections go afterwards (middle section £300 odd MBZ).

Booked in on Thursday for a Longlife stainless steel full exhaust system £549. I guess that will have a sporty roar, but as you say not too much of a roar.

My cats are breaking up - got quoted £549 by Longlife as well - did you go for it ? Good experience ?

I bought a rear box from ECP when I had my C class. It was called 'Powerful'.
Not too noisy and less than a standard box.

Keep looking on eBay - I got my C43 one for £120 ;)

Not sure what make mine is, but it's quite a nice grumble.... :D

If you want the sound, go for the Remus.....it looks good as well...pretty much the same appearance of the chromed pipes on the C36 box but in the case of the Remus the chrome area is more.
