Anyone knows where in Scotland I could do a CO2 emission test for a diesel?
The MOT only do petrol car CO2 test and only smoke test on the diesel.
It need to be somewhere specialized on this.
Anyone has an idea?
Thank you.

I need to know my CO2 emission as I am on WVO I want to know what is the emission and prove from there that the car do not pollute, or do only expell very little CO2, same or less as a smart diesel car :)
Cheers.

A co test is a co test, and if you find an understanding garage they may let you hook it up to a petrol gas analyser.. Probably not though as it will clog up the machine! Anyone got one of those Gunsons CO meters you get in Halfords? They are pretty spot on.

Thank you Tiff.
I was told this this afternoon that it might clogged the machine and that not many will give it a go...
I will ring as many MOT garage as I can then.
Gunsons CO2 meters? This is interesting.
Thank you.

I've got one of the older analogue variety. Great for setting my old motorbikes carbs up!

I had one the same as in the pic, and it was always within 0.1% of the MOT stations machine. Not professional quality but perfectly good for DIY and MOT preperation.

Thank you Tiff :thumb:

I like to get a garage doing it tho with a printed proof.
