Further to the Pre Wash Debate thread, I was wondering where everyone buy's their Snow foam from & price.
Up till now, I have been getting it from Ultimate Finish. If you buy 3 x 5litres you get a fourth free, cost £41.85 with free delivery, however notice that Amazon has Pro Clean, which I have used before (good) 4 x 5litres for £40.85 with free delivery

I shop around for BH autofoam sometimes from Ultimate finish, slims detailing, clean your car are probably my main three but it really depends on what i'm buying with it. I recently ordered a few bits from slims and the overall order came out cheaper than the others plus Slims has fairly rewarding, reward points which every now and again i can knock a tenner off when they build up.

I ordered some valet pro brushes, Auto foam 5litre, surfex HD 5litre and 1 litre of auto wheel which came to about £42 after i used the points up which was the best price at the time.

I don't buy very often though as 5 litres of auto foam at the recommended dilution lasts me months and by that time i usually have a few things to add on to the order.

As above, depends on what you want. I use Slims Slims too. Or you can go directly to BH. Save up a load of points then spend it more product I dont need 😁😉

Bh AF is around £17/ 5ltrs

Used bilt Hamber wheel cleaner for the first time on my new to me glc wheels and they have come up unbeatable

That's another debate buddy TFR and SF are 2 very different things and do very different jobs. Personally I wont use TFR as most are caustic and can damage sensitive trims, paint, plastic etc.
In the summer you generally have less Traffic Film but more dust, TFR is overkill for that.

We have been using tfr for years in our valeting business and have never had any problems with it

I shall stick to Snow foam, as long as its Ph neutral. I do tend to use a fair bit of it as I do not measure it out & just pour what I think is ok for a thick covering into the bottle. 20 litres for £40 ish is not outrageous.
One thing though chaps, remember to flush the nozzle through with plain water when finished as the filter eventually clogs up & by that time you cannot get it cleaned out. Wonder how I know:mad::wallbash:😭

TFR has it's place but in car detailing it is really like making a hole in the wall with a bazooka in my opinion.

I used it for years and used to by it concentrate to de-grease forklifts to prepare for the workshop it really strips everything and can be extremely damaging to the clear coat.

My bosses Amorak has loads of chemical burns i can only assume has come from visiting hand car washes during the warmer weather if you get up close you can see all the water marks where the TFR has dwelled.

Dont get too caught up with PH buddy.. TFR is ph12/14 as is BH Autofaom, but BH is no where near as dangerous as TFR.

It's the different forms of surfactant within the formula that make it clean not the PH level
😉

You can strip it and replace the gauze filter inside or i soak it in a little citric acid for a bit if it fails.

Replacement gauze's are pretty cheap here's a link to amazon but they are cheaper on ebay.

POFET 2pcs Stainless Replacement Pressure Washer Snow Foam Lance Mesh Gauze Filter: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home

Tried everything to clean the gauze with no success. Eventually bought a complete new bottle assembly, never thought about a replacement filter:wallbash: but now ensure its flushed through with clean water after use.
Thanks for that, just ordered 4 for £2.72 on Ebay, from China, few weeks delivery, but not in a hurry as I have the replacement one.👍

No worries, I went through a few a couple of years back even with flushing them through and eventually got around to stripping them down and replacing the gauze and a couple of o-rings.

I recently bought 10l of pro-kleen cherry snow foam off eBay, £18 delivered next day. Seems to work well and actually does smell of cherry!

Amazon for everything these days

In many cases I find Amazon to be more expensive on detailing items, I always compare, but in most cases its cheaper to go to a dedicated supplier..
