Still trying to get my coupe running right........ive just found this going nowhere,

Almost certainly should go to the inlet manifold beyond the throttle plate where the vacuum is highest. It looks as if it leads to the one way filter/valve mounted on the inner wing from which a clear vacuum line runs down to the EZL ignition unit mounted on the wing. The EZL needs a vacuum signal to modify the ignition advance curve. You need to look for a blank spigot or a disconnected rubber connector possibly on the underside.

Got it, underneath the air flow meter......didnt stop the surging though:(
