I thought that the whole idea behind changing the member's forum name to 'deleted user xxxx' was to maintain online anonymity... so mentioning both in the same post kind of defeats the purpose? 
I agree, but when people want their accounts deleted we have to.

That is a shame because over the years many of the departed/deleted members thread participation(s) have really contributed some great help, knowledge and advice which has sometimes inspired, amused, given mechanical insight or saved £s.
