Can anyone please help me find the relay that controls the glow plug indicator light (not the glow plug relay itself) on my 1998 Sprinter 410D ?
My problem is fairly minor but nevertheless a frustrating one.
Since I have had the vehicle, about 4 years, the dashboard glow plug light has never worked and hitherto I assumed the bulb had gone because the glow plugs seem to be working ok. However, when I set about replacing the bulb and realised it was ok I began to delve deeper. The first circuit diagram that I found showed a wire going directly from the GP relay to the said light which I found to be non- existent. Further searching of diagrams revealed another circuit variation whereby a relay is used to control the indicator light taking its signal from the DFI control module. The diagram in question is numbered PE15.00.d.2000.99 and the component I cannot find is K45. I have even gone so far as to consulting a so called Merc specialist who could throw no light on my question. Any clue as to where this elusive relay is hiding would be most welcome (needless to say I have checked out the known locations without success)
