Hi,
hoping someone can help me!
I need my alignment fixed on my SLK230K following a nasty collison with the kerb!
should I go to MB dealer or is it OK to go to an independent place? & how can I tell they're not going to mess it up?
How much is it going to cos?

Appreciate any advice, since I have no clue!

Nick

Welcome to the forum.

Awfully expensive at the main dealer. Was well over £200 on our ML if I remember correctly. Wouldn't be so bad if they didn't tell me afterwards that it was fine anyway!!

As long as they have a good reputation a specialist would do the job just as well - or better - for significantly less. Whereabouts are you, as I'm sure somebody could recomend a suitable outfit in your area-ish.

Had mine done at an Indie,
If I remember it was about £75, and took them about an hour to set up and adjust.

One idea is to find your local "MB approved" bodyshop. They are well used to getting the wheels back straight during repairs and don't expect £100 per hour as their labour rate!

Hey guys, thanks for the tips,

I'm in Bristol, if anybody knows of somone reliable that I can go to...

Hey Nick, I shall be getting my car alligned sometime soon. I had a similar accident in Bristol....needed a good few parts. I'll see how my car drives when I get it back next week and I'll let you know on the allignment business

Id also be interested in someone who can do this in south London as Id like to have mine checked.

A trip to PowerStation in Tewkesbury may not be too far from Bristol.

Did an excellent job on my father-in-law's Toyota Soarer.

Thanks for the tips guys, much appreciated!
