I was having a look through previous posts and thought it might be interesting to hold a poll about this. Sorry if I'm wrong.........!!!! lol

I'm currently using IE but considering a switch to Opera or Firefox.

the results will be different but the outcome the same :)

1, most of us will be using Internet Explorer because despite it's faults either because it is the most widely used, accepted, compatible browser on the planet or that we are too lazy to change even thoughit is most likely to be the target of attacks from malicious users.

2, A few will be using Firefox and Opera, and whilst privately accepting that there can be issues with many websites (pages not displaying properly and pictures not downloading) they will deny they exist or blame them entirely on Microsoft or the people who wrote the web pages in the first place for not anticipating modifications to second and third generation "non standard" browsers

3, At least one person will forget it was a poll about browsers and recommend that you switch to Linux even though none of your current software will work.

    :D

LOL Andy.. you're probably right about those three points..

But i use Firefox.. was forced to make the switch after IE kept getting hijacked by something or another and i was unable to use the browser to its best advantage.

I have to say i like Firefox and i've never had any issues with it (no i'm not in denial!). The best feature by far is the tabs you can have to open more pages.. so rather than having a load of different browsers opening at the bottom, i just have a small tab at the top with all my firefox windows in.

    :D

I just downloaded firefox having recenlty migrated from aol to IE.

    Aol - joke.
IE - not bad but a bit hit and miss.
FF - I like! The tab function is excellent!!

    Yes MEPIS :D

If I have MEPIS booted then I use KDE desktop with Netscape 7.0, sometimes I'll use Konqueror.

IE most of the time, Firefox when browsing "adult sites" and Safari when on my favourite machine. :)

Fire fox is great, good to see so many people using it! It is loads more secure than IE and they seem to have sorted a lot of the shopping basket issues from the original release.
