Which bulb ??

I'm pretty stuck.
A few days ago the exterior bulb failure indicator on the dashboard came on and I have checked every exterior bulb I can think of but they all seem to be working ok .... ???
I checked : indicator , head lights, dimmed head lights, tail lights, brake lights, number plate light, spot lights , reverse light , indicator lights on the front wings.
Can't think of anything else @-:
Anyone got any idea what I should check next ??
Any hints and tips are greatly appreciated since the orange light on the dash his driving me nuts ...

Can't see front side lights or rear fog light on your list, but would assume that you checked those too.

When you say checked, do you mean that you made sure they were all alight or did you remove every bulb to physically inspect them? A bulb which lights, but is about to fail (blackened or loose cap/glass, or indeed one making poor contact in its holder) can trigger the bulb failure warning light.

As grumpyoldgit said... you should check for the faulty bulb by replacing the existing bulbs with new ones one by one till you find the one giving grief.

Expensive and time consuming I know, but on the plus side, you will end up with a full spare bulb kit...

I checked them by making sure they illuminate but I will trot down to my local car place to get a handful of bulbs to play the elimination game (-:
