Hi,

I have just bought a 2011 E class coupe. It has the colour in speedo display, can do bluetooth audio and consumption graphs which leads me to think its NTG4.5. However it does not have an SD card slot, instead it has the older larger one which makes me think its NTG4.

Any ideas?

Many Thanks,
Sam

Does not have globe since I don't think the original owner paid for command online. But I am told you can still activate it though the engineering menu.

Been doing some more digging. Apparently the fact it has 7g tronic means its a 2012 model year so should have NTG4.5. Its odd very few cars seem to have the facelifted steering wheel and 7g tronic but still have a pcmica slot as opposed to SD. Anyone else got the same thing? Or know what comand has been fitted? I know it has traffic sign recognition if that helps working out what it has?

PCMCIA = NTG4. Could it be a retrofit ? There was a while where NTG4 Audio-20 or NTG4.5 COMAND was supplied (part of mY11 and My12 from memory), and that is easier/cheaper to update to NTG4 Comand than NTG4.5

NTG4 on W212/W207 does give you 7 digit postcode too

Its odd, i don't think it is a retrofit since the vin number shows it has comand. So why would you retrofit ntg4 into a car that had 4/4.5? Its obviously the first of the new steering wheel/ colour speedo display cars. You would think when they updated to 7g tronic and all the new dash stuff they would have done ntg4.5 at the same time. As i say it has traffic sign recognition, consumption graphs and BT audio which makes me think its 4.5. Its just the pcmica slot that makes me think otherwise. I have seen a few cars on classified with this setup but only very few. Could it be ntg4.5 but with the old keypad unit that has the the buttons and mem card slots on it?

It has a 10gb music register if that means anything?
