I'd like to buy an OBD unit with Bluetooth so I can run the Torque app on my Galaxy Tab. There are so many out there to buy, I was wondering if anybody has successfully done this already.

If so, which OBD unit do you use?

Thanks in advance.

I bought a cheap ELM 327 bluetooth unit from Ebay for £10 or so that works fine. I haven't really used it other than to confirm it work by letting it read data from the car and watching the revs rise while in the driveway, but it proved very useful this evening.

I'd come home from work with the intentionof just getting changed then heaidng back out, but the car refused to start. It turned over for a while then stopped.

In went the unit, and very quickly it diagnosed the fault as P0335 crankshaft position sensor. A quick search of the forum seems to confirm the symptoms match up. While waiting for dinner to heat up the car has cooled down and bit and is starting again, which I'm taking as another confirmation of the cps.

It was due to go into my trusted mechanic tomorrow for some judder from the front so I'll ask him to check on his diagnostics too.

I bought an elm327 clone on eBay for 12quid. Works fine on the three cars I've tried it on.
