Which phono lead do the members use for their W216 CL glove box to get iPod music?

There are 3 coloured connections, I'm told it will be the red and white ones but do these connect to my iPhone phono out connection or the multi pin/charger type connection at the bottom?

I'm not getting a straight answer on the other side.

probably the stereo jack not the charger connection..
