Which steel rim to choose for winter tires for W202?

Please help me deciding.

According to the manual I should choose:

6jx15 ET31
or
6,5jx15 ET37
or
7jx15 ET42

I am offered by my dealer a 7jx15 ET42 for ~35EUR a piece.

Would it fit my car and wouldn't the difference in ET settings harm the bearings?

Thought 6.5Jx15 ET37 was the standard fit - although this was on my original alloys - not steels.

Your dealer SHOULD know whether it will fit or not. In general, I'd go for narrower tyres / rims , for winter use, if possible.

Your car takes ET37 15 inch wheels. ET42 I think fits W210 models. What wheels do you have at the moment

I am on 195/65R15 with original alloys, but I do not know the ET number.

Should be ET37 - and should be stamped on the inside of the wheel.
