Lidl this week...£18.99. Axle stands...£8.99. Both TUV tested.

i paid £55 for a 2.5 ton jcb but i was a bit dissapointed as it has got a very small head,i stiil tend to use my old halfords 2 ton

ive ordered a 3 ton arcan...seems to be lots fans on the web... will let you know what I think once ive tried it..

I have one and it's total crap. It fell apart very quickly and when it has weight on it it slowly creeps down. Not ideal really

I share Ollies experience total carp build quality very poor ours lasted a few months. Bough Snap ON ranging from 1.5 tonnes to 3 tonnes if they break Snap On replace them more expensive outlay but cheaper in the long run. A Jack is something you need to have full trust in not wonder if it will let you down (pardon the pun)

arrrggghh i was hoping Ollies was a one off bad un..

Oh well, mines only for occasional use and always use stands.

To be fair the one we had was used for lifting cars for tyre changes so was in constant use without stands. But it didn't stand up very well, the snap on replacement is still going strong.

One of the advantages of the Arcan is a very low minimum height: 89mm.
