Hi,
After getting fed up with the inlet flaps sticking on my W210 220 cdi and the linkage forever coming off I removed the manifold and gave it a clean out..... absolutly filthy.
Replaced and started the car to find clouds of white smoke pouring from the exhaust.
Have left running but is not easing off at all.
Should this clear under load conditions or could it have affected any ECU settings?

It will probably clear.

The reason why the inlet port shut off linkage falling off is because either the flaps are sticking or the ball is worn or the modified linkage part has not been fitted.

Cheers Black.
Have just left the engine running for about 10 minutes & is easing off now compared to the thick smoke initially being thrown out.
Revs & sound OK so I will give it a run to see if that helps.
Any more problems & I`ll post a thread.
