Following on from this W213 Estate load cover woes my next step - regardless of the fact that my own cover is now repaired - is to take this to the Motoring Onbudsman.
My complaint is going to be that the design is not fit for purpose. It is absolutely unacceptable to have an easily broken piece of plastic - hang on, not just easily broken but easily replaced bit of plastic result in a £710 repair.
So, as part of that I'd like to collect together as many people who have had this issue to demonstrate it is not an unusual event. To be clear that is just instances of the plastic tab breaking.
