This was one of my projects I bought for a laugh for a mere £80, yes, £80 Eight-Zero.
FSH, 88k miles, 3 owners and nearly a full tank of diesel. :thumb:

Had been sat for 4 years not being used and was a bit dirty

    It went from this...

To this...(Wheel arch not fitted, took it off to bash out the dent on the wing:devil:)

Maybe it'll give a little hope for anyone out there who thinks there car is past it and nothing can be done!

Couldn't not start the wash with a foam on this one... Fool the neighbours into thinking I got happy with the emulsion

After the best wash this little car has ever had I was left with the following(few bits of dirt clinging on for dear life)

Then it was off for an MOT, Passed with flying colours, all it needed was some new wiper blades! Was in tip top condition underneath, never going to find another bargain like that one! Eventually the Exhaust broke just behind the CAT, luckily I came across a brand new genuine one on ebay from a Pug dealer clearing old stock. Mine for £50... Result!

    Hope you enjoyed the dirt!

ill give you £50 for it

    well done

we just bought a vectra 1.8 (1 owner from new with fmdsh) for £300

should get £1,000 for it, looks like new still with no panel damage and mint interior and its a 2001 with 130,000 ish miles

always great to get a bargain, fix it up then sell it on, not just a financial thing but a job well done feeling

Sold it a few months ago, underneath was probably one of the best condition 306's around looked nearly new and I hadn't touched it! Made a couple of hundred quid which paid for my time cleaning it :thumb:

Sounds a bargain, I'm always on the look out for little gems! It is nice watching it transform before your eyes into something a bit more respectable.

Nice work! It looked like a 'one careful owner' car when you'd done.

I can imagine how much effort went into that - a lot! I cleaned up my uncle's car on the weekend. It hadn't been done in months. The poor thing is parked outdoors and was an absolute biatch to clean, but the difference was amazing. To tell the truth, I didn't expect the paint to respond as well as it did.

I really must get the barge down to you for a seeing to (and also a professional opinion on some of the rust). No matter what I do the glass is stubbornly refusing to be clean.

    Good cars, those 306s.
I had a 1.9 XRDT as my first car and besides the sunroof leaking at times, it was fantastic. :thumb:

Yep - great job Adam. I did a fair few cars like this when I was younger, a satisfying task as the improvement is so great

What products did you use to tackle the white paint?
