It was a 40 mile journey, A590 (Cumbria) and M6 (Cumbria/Lancs)...... and I was driving a little 'carefully' and I was overtaken by a caravan.... but....




it just goes to show!


However ... It wasn't much fun!

The other day just as a test I decided to "drive carefully" no pic to prove but I managed 30mpg in my C32 AMG Travelling from Salisbury down to Southampton at an average speed of around 50mph.

It was really boring though and I kept getting overtaked by Corsa drivers, it didnt last long and im back on my regular 20-22mpg's

33mpg is mediocre at best by any non AMG car standards.

For a non AMG, this is the kind of every day figure at normal speeds. On 'good days' figures hit 40-45+.
It sounds like you were not driving normally (even for a non AMG; let alone an AMG) so what is the big deal? Certainly not every day driving; just as I would not drive around everwhere at 90-100mph!

Driving slowly like this can be inconsiderate to other drivers & is even more annoying for the driver behind when they see 'AMG' on the back!!
