Whois Lookups

One for you techies out there, im trying to locate a named registrant of a website company, ive tried the whois lookup, but it may not list the name of the register. All i have is a name and no ip, i know its a long shot, Any other ways of finding such info. Cant give name. Nothing malitious need to know if they own websites.

I dont know if you can look it up this reversed way around - besides which, the domains are often registered to the hosting company nowadays rather than the person 'renting' the domain.

When you say "name" do you mean the name of the person or the domain name?

If you have a domain name then you can resolve it through nslookup, then try ripe.net (if an EU domain) to find out who owns the IP range, that usually gets you the name of the ISP and sometimes the name of the person involved.

Name of the person is who i'm looking for i'm hoping they're daft enough to enter there name as registrant.. As i say it's a long shot and was hoping for an easy search. never mind

have you considered companies house and/or b4usearch?

B4usearch lists companies house register details at addresses also.
