I love anything with Clint Eastwood.

Or at the other end of the macho scale, I like Tom Hanks,

As for movies

Fistful of dollars trilogy
Planes Trains, Automobiles.
Good Will Hunting (Robin Williams scenes mainly)

Then for pure escapism, Fast and furious, or anything with Schwarzenegger (maybe not junior)

Animal House (National Lampoon, not the 'other' one)

Robert Donat; Goodbye Mister Chips....

Loved the Martin Clunes TV adaptation, when he lost his Mrs and did the stiff upper lip, and went to class next day [emoji22]

You seen Gran Torino?

I'm not typically an Eastwood fan, a bit too young for westerns, etc. Was blown away by his performance in Gran Torino.

Steve McQueen: (The king of cool)

Bullit
The Great Escape
Thomas Crown Affair.

Al Pacino, any of his films especially The Godfather 1 & 2

Grumpy Old Men, Matthau and Lemon are just fantastic, funniest film ever.

A more serious note would have to be the superb Edward G Robinson in Soylent Green

Another vote for Jack Nicholson, his performance in A Few Good Men is excellent.

Favourite movies:
The Outlaw Josey Wales (which Chief Dan George nearly stole)
Blazing Saddles
Jason Bourne series
Ronin
Casablanca

My favourite film is probably Master and Commander. or maybe Lawrence of Arabia, followed by the Australian Light Horse.

With Master and Commander; not only are action shots so life on the big screen like but so is the topography of the film! Very much like La Costs de Venezuela & Brazilian coast near Recife and the Boca de Orinoco. It is loosely based & founded upon the swashbuckling larger than in real life, one Lord Cochran founder of the Chilean Navy. (Armada de Chile)

About 20 odd years ago I was working in Chile and had the honour to be invited by my host to Chile's Navy Day & Dinner at the Naval Academy in Valparaiso . A Wonderful Experience!
