Why no Silver?

Do Audi still offer the personalised colour option? I spec’ed an S4 Avant a few years ago and it was £3K for ANY colour you wanted.

IIRC @Red220 ordered an S6 Avant on a burnt Orange.

Great idea that doesn’t break the bank if ordering a factory build north of £40-50k

I have a theory, as silly as it may seem.

I think AMG is continuing to separate itself from Mercedes by having certain models offered only in AMG and now even common Mercedes colors not being offered.

Anyways, I went with Solid Black with Macchiato Beige interior.
A connoisseur’s choice 👌🏻

Blooming lively it was too. It was a Bentley colour if I remember right, Burnt Orange or similar. There’s a wonderful Mulsanne for sale online in that very colour and it looked wonderful. Mrs D was less keen but what does she know.

I believe that silver is about to make a come back. It’s not an unusual colour now but it’s nowhere near as common as it once was. I sense that will change over the next few years though.

I was going to order my 440i in Sakhir Orange and it would have been £3,000, but they had a quicker build slot if I got a normal colour.
Kind of regret not waiting tbh.
I missed a 3er Touring in Sunset Orange; stunning colour in the sunshine

I don't think that it's a 'Mercedes' thing.

I have just been looking at Hyundai's website. Hyundai offer a large variety of paint colours. The IONIQ 5 comes in 4 different trim levels, and each trim level has different colour options available from the global Hyundai paint colour pool... with the top trim level allowing the smallest number of paint options.

On Hyundai websites in other countries, it's the same story, but with different colour options than the UK cars!

Go figure....
