Why do people stop in the middle of a road (where only 1 car can fit), put their hazard lights on and run off to do something, when there are plenty of spaces to park in?

I was returning home today, tried to take a shortcut, and a woman just stopped in the road and went into here house, got something and came back out. There were SOOOOOOO many spaces to park in further up! Wasted a good 5 mins of my life!

She kept waving at me, but what the hell was wrong with her? Is she more important than me? Silly "female dog"

Some people are in too much of a hurry & wrapped up in their own world to even consider that they were in anyones way. The rest just don't give a to$$.

It happens every day here in Spain. It is a way of life.No point in complaining in any way shape or form.It is (amongst other things) what makes life so enjoyable here. There is always Manyana!

Why not give it a try?

I once got pee'd off with someone for doing that.

I objected, he got indigannt and then he proceeded to chase me a mile or so them jumped out of his car, came round to my (open) window and tried to knife me (!).

Tw*t.

Recently an inconsiderate guy was blocking a narrow street and refused to move a short distance where there was a parking space. I am afraid the red mist descended and I gave the rear end of his car a gentle shunt. He got out very irate and to cut a long story short, he called the police and ended up being charged with illegal parking and causing an obstruction. There is sometimes justice in this world !!

It's caused by the "I didn't buy a car so I could walk" menatality.

Heaven forbid that some car owners should have to take 3 or 4 extra strides to get where they want to be, look at any supermarket car park and you will see quite a few cars go round several times looking for the nearest parking space to the door

The other day I was driving my car along a narrow street when all of a sudden, without any warning I got an excruciating, stabbing pain in my chest.. the pain was unbelievable and in sheer panic I stopped the car imediately.

After a few seconds the pain eased and I gradually got bacxk some vision, but unbelievably the driver behind me wass blasting their car horn and then, instead of coming to enquire if I was alright, they drove their car right into the rear of my vehicle!!

I thought I was dying and instead of someone coming to my aid, I was 'attacked' :)

In this modern age we live in, everyone and their doig appears to be in so much of a hurry

That's what the baby and child bays are for.....according to some of the local pond life.

I actually took one charming young lady to task about this and she wasn't happy at all. She kept pointing out that she had kids. I said so do I. The difference was she'd left hers at home and I had mine with me. She still made me park 50 yards away.

I ask you....

I had a similar experience a few months back when I had my infant son in the car : a lone 'gent' in a 4x4 drove into the last parent and child space at our local Tesco . When I saw him leave and lock the vehicle without any children coming out , I tooted the horn and shouted across the car park in a loud voice ' why have you parked there , don't you realise these are parent & child spaces , some of us need them ' . I was most surprised when he sheepishly apologised , got into his vehicle and moved it ; perhaps the fact that there were a number of others looking disapprovingly at him helped ? Anyway , I smiled graciously as he vacated the space and let me in .

I've done it. :o

I had stopped to reverse onto the drive and just as I started an idiot drove right up to the rear and refused to move so I locked the car and went into the house and made a cup of tea. 5 minutes later there was a knock on the door and a request from another driver to move it as the street was now totally blocked. I said I would when there was enough room for me to reverse onto the drive and it took over 10 minutes for the chaos to be resolved with lots of shunting and groaning from irate drivers held up on their 'short cut' through the road.

I would do it again in a jiffy.
