My wife is constantly on business calls when she is in the car and is using the SAP (V2) unit with COMAND. When she gets to a destination she is often trapped in the car until the call is finsihed as there seems no way we can find to transfer this live call back to the Nokia 6300 handset.
Anyone know if this is possible without cutting off the person on the other end?:o

The car locks the doors ?

Should be possible on the phone with the top right botton on phone keypad. Can't remember what it says, but during call something like "speaker".

Works on both my Nokias

yes if you look at the collar buttons one should say handset.

Thanks, just tried that but it disconects the call. We are trying to continue the call on the handset when leaving the car. Any ideas?

afraid it is not possible with the sap device, as the phone is in a remote sim state, and not connected to the mobile network. notice next time, when the car releases the sim from its remote state, the hand set reregisters with the network.

A call cant be paused or passed over in this state, other wise as an example calls would still be charged for when dropped!

It is possible with the other blue tooth puck, which uses a headset blue tooth profile but it flattens the handsets battery much more quickly, and doesnt use the car ariel.

According to MB's SAP handbook active calls can only be disconnected from the car using the phone menu.

"Note
If a phone call is in progress, the connection
can only be disconnected directly on the
mobile telephone (see the mobile telephone
manual)."

Mine does too , but not when i use the phone.

I think he's referring to being "trapped" or stuck on the phone call rather than physically trapped by the central locking...now that would be bizarre!

This is one of the disadvantages of the SAP option. There are multiple advantages against the BT HF option, unfortunately no option with all the pros without the cons.

Thanks guys! As the call is using the SIM in the car, I figured it would be difficult to get the call back on the handset mid-call. As you say there is no an solution which has all the options. I use a conventional cradle and can remove the phone mid-call, but I have to remember to insert the phone as I get in! Some people don't always manage to do this;)

Oh! I have let her out the car now:doh:
