Anyone got any experience/educated views on these? At the moment we are using a couple of range extenders, but there are parts of the house where reception is very patchy, and it’s a pain having to reconnect to various points (and sometimes all we get is a grindingly slow 2G connection). First world problems, I know, but I’d like to fix it. Linksys and the Netgear Orbi seem to be market leaders, but are expensive. The you have something like the TP-link Deco and the ASUS Lyra...and I’m getting confused working out what I should be looking for!

Hi
I had poor WiFi reception at one end of my house as the router is placed on the opposite end against the wall. I bought google WiFi and my experience so far is that they’re excellent. I’ve not had one problem in the last 6 months and the speed is the same all over the house. Very easy to set up and monitor too.

Get yourself on ebay and look for the Sky Q wireless Router and Sky Q booster.

Used together , these establish a "mesh" network and have given me complete coverage throughout my house and halfway down the garden.

The clincher for me was that they generally go for about £20 each.

Bit of a no brainer. And you don't have to be with Sky to use them.
