Will 18" Alloys fit an 04 Coupe?

I've got the 16" 205/55 standards at the minute - thinking of either: -

a) slightly lowering suspension and fitting 17" 225/45 (same diameter)

Or

b) fitting 18" 225/40 fit without lowering?

What would you do? What would look better? What be the pro's / cons of either?

Open to suggestions from all of the more experienced modders
