Another option I have seen recommended is the latest Turtle Wax one (I know - Turtle Wax).
I currently use the Hybrid Ceramic range from TW and am very happy with the results. Annoyingly, they have just added a product with graphene (which I'll have to try) to the range. The Hybrid Ceramic coating is supposed to last 12 months and so little is needed that I've probably got enough left to coat my car for another 10 applications. The YouTube "experts" give the Hybrid Ceramic range very good reviews.

Bathe Plus is ok, but not the greatest lubrication, and wont offer anywhere near as good protection as a dedicated protection Product.

The SIO2 content is so low by the time it's been diluted you wouldn't really see any benefit over a traditional waxed based shampoo.

You really do though and when it rains you see the dirt washing off

Hello all
New here and a happy proud owner of a 2020 CLA.

I have always got my car's washed from the local guys at petrol stations but have decided I want to be washing my own car - so I don't potentially scratch, damage the paint work and most importantly knowing I am using good quality products.

I am no detailer or have the intension to wash my car that intense but would like it to look clean and prestige.

What are the best shampoo to use ?
Ive seen alot of best shampoo reviews online and autoglyn bodywork shampoo and condition is always in the top 2
So I guess this is some good stuff ?

What about snow foam chemical ?
Which is good to use frequently as a prewash and every 2 weeks use it as a quick wash ?

Are chemical guy products any good ? Or are they just over hyped on the commercial side of things on YouTube ?
Hey buddy welcome to the slippery world of detailing.
Personally I use bilt hamber auto wash shampoo. Safe over waxes cleans well and I only use 5ml in 8l bucket.
Clay bar for surface contaminates once a year and autoglym? inferno for fall out.
Next up I use autoglym extra gloss protection followed by bilt hamber double speed wax.
Egp is once a year but I wax 3 times. Wash weekly.

Washing a car property requires practice and correct instruction.
I would be willing to provide both. I will give instructions and provide a car to practice on. Mine. Practice to be carried out on my drive.😁

@LeeJV and others

I've just spent in excess of £300 on products 😬😵😳😳😱😱😫😫😤😤😤😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I've pretty much purchased all the product's that leeJV suggested -
All be it the wheel brushes, I couldn't justify paying £15-£20 on 1 brush
So I ended up buying autobrite twin mini set brush for £12

Thank you to everyone for your opinions and advise especially LeeJV

still need to buy a few things 😭
Micro fibre clothes for the internal cleaning a d window cleaning
Oh and possibly a cheap leaf blower
Just so I can blow out those annoying drips.

Will be coming to you for more advise on washing process @LeeJV

But for now I'm just gonna sit in the corner and 😭

That's a big investment!
I didn't spend that much including a das 6 pro, pads and polishes!
Be prepared, the easy part is parting with the cash.
The first time I corrected/cleaned my van it took 3 days!!
I love the bilt hamber stuff, so easy to use, the wax beads up for months.

HI LeeJV
Just received my delivery of all my washing equipment 🤗

Please are you able to advice me on which product to use in which order?
and a quick brief guide on how best to use the product / how much liquid to use etc ?

You mentioned some of these products can be diluted either to get more out of it or it can be used for alternate purposes, again please advise me on the recommended ratio on which you think is ideal.

Just a recap on my potential wash routine:

Every 2 weeks a contactless wash
Method: pre-wash followed by snow foam wash and other paint protection / gloss / shine product then rinse.
Potentially use towel to dry

Every 6 weeks approx - contact wash
Good deep clean using mits
Pre-wash, snow foam wash, shampoo and everything else

Gone with 2 bucket method wash with 4 mits

Thank you for all your help so far
👌

All of the dilution rates are on the bottles. So best to follow them.

As for BH Autofaom, you need to work out your PIR, the instructions doe this process are on the back of the bottle
4.% for heavy soiling
2% for light soiling

Auto wash. 7/10ml per 15ltr bucket mixed with warm water.

ECH20, 1/15 as a quick Detailer 1/20 as a drying aid.

Sufex HD. 1/10 for heavy soiling 1/20 for light soiling
If you look in the detailing thread about prewash it's all listed in their about contactless washing.

DO NOT use a drying towel or any contact method if doing a contactless wash as this will damage the paint.

Hey LeeJV

Thanks for that , glad all the doses are listened on the bottles.

In what order would I use the product's??
I have no idea about all the stuff I just purchased it based on your advise 😬

I just know about shampoo wash and then polish, never did i know bout paint protection, sealers, clay bar etc its all new

For my understand to make sure I will be doing it correctly.

Contactless wash :
Apply prewash first or do I rinse with water first then prewash ?
Do not rinse - apply snow foam,
Then rinse it all off
Then apply carpro ech20 on wet panel ?
Then blow dry ?

Is this the correct order ?

For contact wash
Snow foam first
Rinse with water then shampoo and wash with mits.
Then rinse with water
Then use ech20 on wet panel to use as drying aid then wipe down with cloth
Then use hydro light 2 then wipe off ?

Or is it hydro light 2 first on wet panel then rinse with water then use ech20 then wipe down

I'm just a little confused on when to use these 2 products

Sorry for being dumb 😳

Happy new year everyone

1st wash
No rinse.
Apply Snow foam, allow to dwell for as long as possible, then fully rinse

Wash with the 2BM, using Autowash and rinse

While car is wet, spritz some Carpro Hydro 2 onto the wet panel, spread evenly with a towel, then buff it dry repeat on all panels
For a faster application you can just spray it on, then jet wash off, then dry.
That's your car washed and protected

For maintenance washing

Apply Snowfoam, rinse, wash, then dilute ECH20 20/1, spray onto a Drying towel and dry the car. This aids the drying process by lubrication.

Eh20 diluted 15/1 is for your door shuts, trims etc, apply with a damp towel, and wipe off.

For contactless

Dilute BH BH Surfex HD 10/1, spray over the lower half of the car, cover it on Snowfoam and allow to dwell.
fully rinse, and dry with water or a blower

Thank you so much for this
This will definitely help me

Very much appreciate your help
