As the title says..

Looking at these cars, they seem to have similar design bootlid mounted 3rd brake light.

Mine is cracked and the previous owner just glued it together as water could get into the boot area.

Now I have a permanent error message "3rd brake light failuere"

Dronsfield quoted me used part for £59 plus VAT

any ideas as I think if I just look for the part regardless if it came from W211 or W203 ,will it fit?

Maybe Dronsfield quote was expensive.
I got another quote from other breakers asking anything from £20-£45 delivered inclusive of VAT!

No!!

Just get one from euro car parts, GSF or Mercedes

This is making me smile and feel better about my rear brake light. I'm being "cautious" and avoiding unnecessary spending at the moment, about 1/2 the brake light is dead and it's about 70 quid...

does anyone know the part number for this part?

Thanks.

Part # A2098201056

Check before you buy!!

That's the Clk part number.
A2038200156 for 203 saloon.

well, finally replaced the 3rd brake light at Tony Purslow Guildford for £110-ish all inclusive of labour, part,VAT and discounts!
The part itself was £55-ish plus VAT. IIRC..
All good now albeit a small dent in the wallet :D

Its a little fiddly to fit but nothing to be scared of.. just 2 10mm nuts once all the trim is removed.
