Will iPod kit work with iPhone 3G in W169

I have a W169 with Audio 20 and Pre-wiring 2005 with WD chasis number. Does anyone know whether the iPod kit will work with the iPhone? I'm finding it hard to get a straight answer from any MB dealer.

I would also like to operate the iPhone as a phone with the HFS iPhone Bluetooth cradle (or ViseeO MB-2) in the centre console. Can I use these at the same time?

I understand that the phone will not charge in the glove box unless I buy a 3rd party connector.

I need to instruct the dealer as to whether or not to install the iPod kit. He tells me his information says it is not compatible with the iPhone, but everyone else seems to think it works.

Does anyone have some clear information on this.

Yes the ipod kit will work in the car. Yes it will work with the iphone but it wont charge the iphone. Yes it will pair with the HFP cradle and yes they can both be used together. I have replicated this exact scenario in an A class myself.
