My W208 with 225/40 all round was awful (tramlining) after I had the front tyres replaced but wheels in motion gave me a clean bill of health and its mostly sorted now using non standard tyre pressures.
I might try 245 rears next but can't see that improving handling
It depends on the level of kit/luggage/passengers in the car and whether or not it has been lowered. Even then the tyre brand/model can mean the difference between no problems and some rubbing or catching in the arches.
As the wheels themselves are known to fit, I'd take a chance on the tyre sizes and if they ended up rubbing I'd either use some slim spacers until the tyres were worn out or just swap the tyres for 225 front 245 rear.
dont carry much, people or boot stuff, have had new rear springs, so presume the car will be standard (not lowered), will 265 at rear stick out proud of the wheel arch and look daft? or be ok?
