Hi all,
I'm very fond of the old style shift knob as on W124 and earlier.

I wanna transfer the knob plus the base (yoke) onto the W202 RHD, but wonder if they will fit and fuction okay, since the slotted gate are of the opposite in shape.
OR do I need to use the whole assembly from early W202RHD?

I believed early W202LHD had the same gear knob as those on the W124 since the part no. begins with 124

Pictures below show; w124 knob and my current one in W202

Please help. Any advise is much appreciated.

The arm has a thread and a locking nut. If the thread's the same - and I strongly suspect it will be - there should be no problem swopping them over

Whether the bend in the arm, or the length, will be correct is another matter
