window stopped working

    Hi, My window has stopped working. I can hear the motor but wont go up/down.
    Any ideas pls?
    I have manually pushed it up.

    Assuming the motor is working correctly it could be that the nylon slider insert which is normally rivited to the end of the actuation arm has broken leaving the window free.

    Thats what happens when kids mess about in the car.
    Bet that will cost £100+

    Not necessarily, if you get a used motor from a breakers and are willing to have a go yourself.

    been told its the regulaltor teeth. will cost £200 to rectify.

    I had a similar problem, there were about 3 teeth on the regulator that had broken off. I got a replacement on ebay for £40... but my sis Gina got one for hers when that went for £140 from Mercedes.
