Anyone know of a good window tinter around Manchester area
Why ? are you ashamed of owning a Mercedes ?
The OP said around Manchester .. Might be more about not wanting to see out than others seeing in
- Comfort (in the summer)
- Privacy/ Security
Not exactly Manchester,
but not a million miles away, Pentagon Autotint
in Bury, 0161 764 5000
I've had 4 cars done there, they are very good.
Not all at, I personally think it enhances the look and helps with security, plus less sunlight directly in the kids eyes
I lived in the tropics from 6 months old and don’t have a problem with my eyes.
Great..... still want them doing so if you know anywhere that does window tinting feel free to comment an address
Hi SmartAmg. you said you have had 4 done, what is the average cost of having the rear and back window done..
I would say no more than £150 (depending on car)
I was recently quoted £180 for my E class coupe, all round tint in smoke. Don't know if you think that's expensive, but like I said I've always found them very good, and judging by some of the cars I've seen being tinted while I've been there, they must be doing something right.
Hi, I was tipping between £150 - £180 as a ball park figure.
Ive just had my C Class estate done by Global Tint. It's much better than one I had done about 10 years ago with a different company. If you look on their website, it will give you a quote if you enter your car model
I’ve had a quote today for £130 from a company near to me in Manchester, seems reasonable enough. Had one for £160 this morning Also
Anybody used any companies in the South Yorkshire area.
Used these before albeit about 10 or 12 years ago Protint – Professional Window Tinting
Did a decent job on my 3 series.
I paid £140 for my C class to be done
Have a look at CarShades.co.uk. As an alternative to tints. Fitted blinds that from the outside look 99% the same but removable and about £70 a set.
Just a thought OP.
Do you want a medal??
Hi Alex225.I have to agree with you these are an alternative . I have seen these on cars before but only the stick on window style didn't realise you could get tailored ones for your vehicle. the website shows them for the W204 model retailing at like you say around the £70.00 mark. any fellow members currently using these and what are your opinions.
I have a set on my E Class and I bought some for my other half's CLS as well. These are the ones on my E, can still open the windows with these fitted.
The rears are made of two parts so there is a join in the middle, something to keep in mind as it's more noticeable from the inside.
Frameless windows in the CLS means they attached using a sticky tab on the black strip and you can't put the rear windows down with them fitted. To be honest though, with A/C the rears don't get used anyway.
Great for the kids in the back of the car as don't need those naff stick on ones that don't fit properly. Also, they do give the privacy of tinted glass and virtually the same look as well.
I have actually asked Santa for another set for my CLS63.
