Can you take control of Windows ME in Netmeeting? And how do find out your IP Address?

Thanks
Ian

To find IP address: click Start button, Select Run, in the box that appears type: cmd. This launches another window with a black background(Command Prompt).

At the end of the line that says "C:" type> ipconfig/all (Without any spaces)

This will show all the IP configurations including the IP address

Hope this is what you were asking.

Tan

I think ME is the same as 98 for this - from the run box, type winipcfg - you will need to select your network adapter from the list, and it will give you your IP info.

I know Tan's advise is good for NT based windows ( 2000 & XP) but am not sure about 98, ME.

netmeeting will tell you your IP - click "help" then "about" and it should show your ip in the bottom window

Thanks guys but can you take control like you can in XP via Netmeeting.

Cheers
Ian

I don't think you can take control using netmeeting but you can certainly do it with remote desktop which is built into XP
