Not sure if right place to post this, but hear goes onto next niggle

Wiper washers.

Rear was Non operational,

first check washer bottle, bit of crap in bottom, got rid of that, order the spray part from china for £1.50, run system to clean lines, fitted and now all ok.

Fronts however not much info on, they work but only just on drivers side, had a look around thought I just replace, till saw cost!!!

So few questions.

Is it possible to remove and clean them out, then run system to remove any bits and refit.

is it best just to snip pipe and fit after market jet on the wiper arms?

can you fit replacement generic bonnet washers, don't care about heaters ect, as these very cheap.

Particles seam to be issue, looked at size of pipe has anyone fitted a filter to the line? just past bottle to prevent issue, small one like a scooter fuel filter?

I have just taken delivery of a new washer hose loom thing for my w212.
It has the water hose from the pump up to each nozzle, three new nozzles and the electrical wiring. Because of heating aspect it all only comes as one unit. MB Grangemouth sent this to me for about £55, which I thought was pretty reasonable.

What high cost have you been quoted and for what please?

I was quoted £105, but not from MB so will give them a call, but even so, it is obvious particles are issue so why to have same issue replace part and seams a common issue, forget heater sooner or later most engines defrost the washers in winter anyway, a basic jet pair is about £5, the issue is the particles, if you stop them issue gone, so there are 6 mm bore filters out there, why is a cleanable one not fitted inline to stop issue?

Don't care about heater, why pay £55 and up for a part that's £3 as it only blocked at very end? has any one taken them off and blasted back wards to remove block?

Fixing issue seams simple, but how to prevent it coming back?

This was on a recent forum thread for my w212 E class. The centre 'ball' of the nozzle is missing. The reason I paid £55 was, as far as I could find, the nozzle was not available separately. The cheapest alternative I could find was a non-heated washer hose/loom for £30 from a specialist breaker supplier, which was a greyed plastic 9 year old part, cut off the car rather than removed carefully, so not all the hose was usable either. I felt that in comparison, £55 for brand new with the heater wiring was probably worth the extra £25.

I feel like a right prat now if I can sort this for £3, but I haven't fitted the part yet, so if you could just link to where I can get a new nozzle, and I'll send the unused loom back and save £40.
It's a 2011 w212 E350, OM642 265bhp.
Thanks.

As for particles in the line/nozzle, there is a very fine plastic gauze in the bottom of the washer tank which should stop anything large enough to cause clogging of the jets. Do you have any such plastic mesh/gauze in place? I guess this is a normal washer bottle feature, as it's been in every post 1995 car I've ever owned.

Thanks both as for part I was also unable to find just the nozzle as a separate part, yet a simple generic or Patten part for a washer jet is about £3-5, as was bonnet to wiper arm conversion about £22

I will have a look and see but looking back, from experience of the rear which after removing nozzle running water through and replacing nozzle with a part from china for £1.50 leads me to believe was blocked by particles, ill let you know how I get on, the rear was very simple to fix, the small nozzle just puled out with a pair of pliers , have tried adjusting fronts as said they do work but drivers side s very weak suggesting a block

Many Thanks
