i have command sat nav in my car it is the cd version, now i bought a syrious snooper sat nav with european mapping but it will not pick up satelites in the car if i open the window/sunroof it connects to the satelite straight away,
is it the merc windscreen stopping it connecting to the satelites

Yes. Our Espace does this also. There is often a gap up above the mirror where signals are allowed out. You can sometimes buy external GPS arials to mount elsewhere to get round the problem.

No idea about your particular car but if it has a heated/quick clear front screen then GPS signals will not pass through it.

don,t think it has a heated screen (well to be honest i am not sure) bloody annoying though
