Wing badges

I've just purchased the proper V8 Kompressor badge from Mercedes, whats the best way to fit it, is there a template anywhere I can download or is it a measure up from the other side as such and get it as right as possible?

What car?

Ive used a sheet of paper on the opposite side of the car, press against it and try to 'score' the badge and the adjacent trim/wheel arch etc aswell. Then cut out the shape of the badge. Flip the paper over so its reversed together with a tape measure onto the side you want the badge on.

I bought a set ages ago, but never fitted them as I never found a clean way of doing it ... or got round to it... lol...

masking tape, mark out the end of each letter, then place on car and lay each letter down.

Hi PAt , those were the US ones I bought, easy to fit those, its the V8 Kompressor badges that are tricky to fit straight
