Hi yall, I have just fitted a replacement NS wing mirror to my 210, as the original didn’t fold and the repeater lens was broken but working.

Now all is well except the mirror adjustment up and down is now inverted, and the repeater does not flash when the car is locked but does when the indicators are used. Is there a fix (re-pin the plug) or will I just need to find the correct replacement? Or is somthing else going on?

i would check out the pins and wire colours from your old mirror and make sure the ones on the new one match up.

Hi,
I have just replaced the mirror adjusting motor on my C230K and now my adjustment is inverted same as you described.
There are three cables involved in the adjustment of the mirror glass in a three pin plug on the motor, my intial thoughts were to try to turn the plug around but this is shaped in such a way that it can only be plugged in one way, my solution (with the mirror off of the car) was to disconnect this plug and using a multi meter swap these cables around at the plug where the car plugs into them.
You need to leave the middle cable where it is (three pin plug at mirror adjustment motor) and swap the two outside cables around at the mirror plug (plug which goes to the car).
If the indicator is still working, when indicators are operated, then there is nothing wrong with the wiring, was this mirror a genuine MB replacement? Have you tried your old indicator unit in your new mirror?
