Wing Mirror Does not Extend Out Fully - CLS 219

Hello everyone,

For the past few days, the wing mirror on my CLS 219 Facelift does not extend out fully, by a few centimetres, for the majority of the time.

Most of the time, I have had to manually push and 'assist' the mirror when it's electronically extending outwards, so it opens fully, in the correct position.

I was wondering how this issue can be resolved?

Stop folding it in.

Possibly worn cogs with broken teeth , best not used winter time when it's hard frosty mornings. It'll need stripping down to see what's what . Broken wires are common also , but that may mean it won't fold at all ??

Or try a bit of spray oil in the gap the mirror pivots on while its folding and operate it a few times, worked on my cls or as previously mentioned could be gear teeth
