Wing mirror indicators and adjustment

Hi guys

just bought this e320 cdi 2004 , lovely car and very clean , but found a couple of little niggles that will need sorting

first thing is there is no indicators working on the wing mirrors , plus the adjustment does not work on either side
they do fold when i push the button , but interestingly if i push the adjuster switches while its folding the folding freezes, then when i let go the folding process finishes
same on both sides

been looking on the web , and seen lots of mention of the wires braking , but i have not seen anything that lists both adjusters and indicators

It is almost certain that the looms to the mirrors have broken wires in the hinge area. MB only sell the looms as part of the mirror assembly, and these are costly. If you get the car to a local specialist they will repair the wiring for you which will save you £££'s

i would go with wiring too , just surprised it would be both sides
will take a look see what i can find, if not i will find a local indy to sort it

More than likely the wiring as mentioned above, on some models it brakes the wiring to the adjustment motor aswell it's just that not a lot of people realise as they don't adjust there mirrors too often once they are happy with there position.
We repair these on a daily basis

Definately wiring, I have fixed the same problem on my E-Class as well.
