Why is it that Mercedes latest incarnation of the side mirrors are so bulky and ugly.
I mean, example.. S class.. side mirrors on current model are rounded and pretty, yet the facelift due later this year has got something resembling the contraptions on the old ML's...

is their a law coming out that mirrors must be a certain size?

Even on the c class, they are huge...

I think it is all to do with European Construction and Use regulations.

Didn't they change the w204 mirrors for the 2009 models?

More sleeker indicators and slightly smaller in size.

All new cars will have them

Audi's already have them, A3s are massive.
