Wingmirror glass - W208/W209

Hi folks

Newbie with another (probably stupid) question here.

I just received a replacement wingmirror glass for my recently-acquired facelift W208, ordered via a seller on Ebay (clearly marked for W208). However, the part that I just received is clearly marked for W209, yet the seller seems to think he's sent me the right part.

As I'm not going to have access to the car until the weekend, and Googling is bringing back inconsistent answers, I'm hoping someone here can help.

Do I have the right part? Is the glass (including heating connections) the same?

Well as far as I know the glass is the same,if you had bought the whole wing mirror then the w209 wing mirror folds the 208 does not so I think you have the right glass for your car.

However, I'm now even more confused. My W208 has power-fold mirrors...

Cheers for the reply.

I did actually try that, but there seemed to be tonnes of variety in the images I got back. More confusingly, the W208 seemed to be fitted with two different styles of wingmirror, which didn't help when the seller listed as "all models 98-02".

Can anyone just confirm or deny whether they are indeed the same, or am I going to spend the rest of the day holding a piece of mirrored glass up next to my PC screen?

Well maybe later 208's had power fold,but the glass would have stayed the same,but keep us posted must here the end play
