some **** has hit my mirror, luckily the mirror that 'popped' out is intact, a small hariline crack i can live with, but the clear indicator plastic bit is shattered......soooo, my question is, can i just repace this bit, or do i need a whole mirror?

As long as the fixings inside the mirror cowling are ok, and they probably will be, then you can get replacement 'blinkers'.

I changed one recently on my W220 as it packed in. Easy enough job once you figure it out !!!

Slide the mirror cover off, and then the lens is just held on with small screws.

Don't bother with ebay for the lens, they're really cheap from your local MB dealer parts dept,

Some t**t did the same to mine. I got a new one from ebay - but it was a MB dealer off loading some stock, for £22.50 delivered.
I then watched of a few YouTube videos on how to do it, and it was a 10 minute job.
