Are the w124 wings bolted or spot welded/any other kind of welding on??
I have rusting nearside front wheel arch that I want to replace as the blistering has almost gone right through, would I be better getting main stealer/Merc specialist to do it or have a go myself ?

Cheers,
Paul.

looks pretty std merc system to me, headlight out, trim off (92) side plastic off, undo bolts, peel wing off (prob glued on as well), replace.

hadrian panels probably do a wing, make sure you cover the inside with underseal or similar before you put it back on...

Two things to watch for when changing a wing on a 124. There are two bolts only accesable when you open the door of the car. Mind your paint work on the door. Secondly look at the profile of the new wing where it meets the A pillar. Third party wings are not as good as OEM and quite a bit of fettling will be required to make it "look" right.

Thanks for the advice :)
I will probably get the panel from the main stealer.
