Winter tire rims don't fit

Tried to fit my winter tires for my no-longer Mercedes E300D to my "new" 190D 2.5 and they don't fit - think the offset is wrong.

My old winter tires are 195/65 R15 with the rims being 6.5Jx15 H2 ET37

And my current summer tires are 205/60 R15 with rims being 6Jx15 H2 ET49

So when fitting the winter tires the screws are too long. How do I fix this are the winter tires are almost new. Do I get some shorter screws or an offset rim for the tire rim?

Any suggestions how to fix this cheap and cheerful would be most welcome.

Thx in advance.

You need to note that alloy wheels and steel wheels use different bolts. So if you have taken alloy wheels off and put on steel wheels (commonly used for winter wheels) then you will need to get some bolts specific to steel wheels.

This is not an off set issue.

Thx for the fast reply. Will need to get new bolts then. But the old bolts are too long anyway. When use them, they are about half an inch too long - they do not fasten the wheel tight...

Any specific length is recommended?

Sorry do not know, MB main dealer will be able to help - maybe another member on here will have the details.

W124 and W201 offsets arent too far out so they should work.

I cant see how you would have used long bolts on steels even on a W124... Steels require the short stubby bolts... Not sure of the length im afraid but you will get them from alloywheelsdirect if you need them.
