Avoid anything with Nangkang written on them

Thanks for that info gents.. I'll avoid.. Finding winter tyres hard to come by due to the size of the rear's as don't really want to pay a fortune for them as only purchased the car yesterday so wallet is quite a bit lighter [emoji52]

The Hankooks I posted about in this thread are priced reasonably, are a new design, did well in the tyre tests and are available in a decent range of sizes

Have look

Hi.

Sorry for the delay I have been waiting for MB to let me know the tread...

The tread is at around 5 to 6 mm on all the wheels.I have completed about 3000 miles on them. When new these cost me £1299. As said I used this on my w204 AMG Sport Plus so should be fine on yours.

The tyres are Dunlop Winter Sport 3D (MO), size 225/45R17 91H. on official Mercedes alloys. There are no scratches that I remember on the alloys and I will attach some photos.

I am asking for £600 for the full set given the condition and amount of tread left.

I am happy to meet you at the mb dealer so you can inspect yourself in person.

Michelin CrossClimate, all season tyre and seem to be doing a good job so far, especially in the very wet!

Alan

Same here, even the tyre fitter said that this was a good choice and well researched!

Hi, cheers for the info but I will have to decline purely due to timing as I have just bought the car and paid all the joys that come with it, new Merc car mats, road tax fund and swapping my private plate over has depleted my funds too much to have a further spare £600.. But thanks anyway.

I've just fitted winter rubber last weekend to my S205. Got diamond cut alloys so figured it would be better to pick up a spare set of rims rather than them get scratched.

Picked up Conti Wintercontact TS810 225/50 R17 94H. Cost about £110 a corner fitted.

Ever since I fitted them it's been averaging around 15 degrees this neck of the woods though!

That's a good price IMHO. Almost what I spent just on a set of used rims.

W205 needs the TPMS sensors or it spits it's dummy out.

Yes I priced them to help a forum dweller out. Will move to classifieds and look to eBay. Most seem to be going around the £750 mark.

Just sourcing some 18" winter wheels for the w205 though may wait till next year.

It is a good price Bob and thanks for that... Just stretching things a bit too much for me at the moment with purchasing the car and everything else. Thanks again.

Whatever you decide to go for, check pneus online for the tyres.
Bought some for the wife's car and they were far cheaper than anywhere else as they were shipped in from Europe (free). Of course it might have changed now, but do still check.

That site is brilliant, much cheaper than mytyres which was my go to place for tyres, till I read your post anyway :thumb:
